STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Director
- Guide and direct the administrative functions including financial, programs,
evaluations, etc
- Supervise staff & evaluate their performance annually
- Be responsible for the overall management of the office and expenses
- Attend and participate in state and national activities as time and finances allow
- Assist with coordination, development, and implementation of programs and activities of
the agency
- Provide information, support, and direction to the Board of Directors
- Supervise and direct all public relations with community contacts
- Maintain liaisons with community, service, and other organizations
- Be knowledgeable about current issues in the mental health field and mental health needs
of the community
Volunteer Coordinator
- Recruit, orient, and train volunteers
- Work with other mental health / human service organizations to obtain opportunities for
volunteer services
- Coordinate staff and volunteers within the ongoing programs and activities
- Serve as staff liaison on a standing committee of the MHA Board of Directors
- Develop and implement Early Childhood Mental Health Education for Daycare’s and
Preschools
- Form and develop the Jr. MHA
Education Consultants
- Assume primary responsibility for implementation of MH programs for school age children
- Serve as primary liaison for MHAHC with county private and public schools
- Assist with community education programs, festivals, health fairs, etc.
- Serve as staff liaison on a standing committee of the MHA Board of Directors
Connection Center Director
- Plan, organize, and conduct Connection Center activities
- Recruit and train volunteers to assist with Center activities
- Solicit supplies to be used for the Center activities
- Collect, maintain, and submit the necessary records for the Center activities
Office Manager
Manage all aspects of the office of the Mental Health Association in Hendricks County,
Including but not limited to: mail, correspondence, phone communication, financial record
keeping for agency income, expenditures, payroll, and bank reconciliation, filing, and
provide support for the agency programs and staff.
